Transfer Rumblings

This weekend saw the break of silence from King Kev on transfer dealings. The good news is that he knows the squad lacks depth and some more quality. The bad news is that we may not get the players in time for the first 3 games of the season, two of which are away to ManUSA & Arsenal.

So what is the club playing at?

I suspect we have bids on the table for a few players, but as like a lot of teams are waiting for the market to pick up as it has been shockingly slow so far this season. The transfer's of Berbatov, Barry & Keane will likely start the transfer merry go-round. Also I suspect the club is waiting until the last possible moment to start upping bids for players, forcing clubs towards the deadline (31st August) to accept the lower bids, this goes well if it work's but it is a risky strategy to play especially with our small squad.

I will support the club on cutting the wage bill, players at the club need to start earning their money with their still being players and many previous players that have only came here to pick-up a nice payday. I'm all for performance pay, if the club we're to be successful then the players should enjoy their fair share of the income picked up from being more successful than the last 3 seasons.

Today’s journal say's that Keegan is after 4 more players, what will this be 2 defenders, a playmaker and a striker.

Vote on this week’s poll, on how many faces will be coming in, over the next 6 weeks.
