Newcastle v Barnsley Preview

Sam Allrdyce is expected to ring the changes for tonight's Carling Cup 2nd Round Match, with alot of giant killing's last night we will have to be careful not to be complecenect, and should give extra motivation with less top flight teams left in the competition. Michael Owen, Emre, Cacapa, Shola and Enrique are all expected to start their first games of the season with Shay Given who's back in training maybe given a start to build his match fitness and also Solano may be given some action as well. I suspect we will see a 4-4-2 system which should suit us better and hopefully we will see Emre and Charlie in midfield to give us some creativity lacking in our previous 2 games. Barnsley have started their season with a win, a draw and a defeat in the league and beat Darlington in the previous round. From hearing their fans view of their team they are good going foward but useless in defence (a bit like us then) so they might cause a few problems but expect a few goals from us. Hopefully fans have taken advantage of the free kids ticket offer, it's about time the club started this because we need to introduce the next generation of fans to the club without the huge cost of going to league games.

Prediction: 4-1 Expect If owen scores early on then expect a brace from him and hopefully the midfield will contribute some goals as well.

My Likely Team: Harper

Geremi Cacapa Rozehnal Enrique

Milner Butt Emre N'Zogbia

Ameobi Owen
