D Day

Sam Allardyce's destiny as Newcastle manager will all depend on their progress in this year's FA cup.  This is the last thing Newcastle have of salvaging their already distratous season, defeat to Stoke will finish their season and almost certaintly that of Sam Allardyce's job, even if he isn't sacked after this match, it will cause outrage amoung the fans even those of Sam Allardyce.

I can't see us winning tomorrow, with some of shocks today with Coventry, Oldham, Sheff Utd all beating premiership opposition and with us in dreadful form, I can only see us picking a point at most with the best team currently in the Championship.

Memories of the 3rd round always start unforgettably with that goal in 1972 of Ronnie Radford scoring for Hereford in the biggest shock in FA cup history and how do we know that.  Recent memories are almost as bad as we getting stuffed 5-1 at home to an inferior Birmingham side last season at home.

The game was carefully picked to be infront of the cameras as usual by the southern press so they can stick it into us if another giant killing happens.  It did 5 year ago when we awfully went to play Wolves which saw us lose 3-2.  That result then actually turned our season, with memorable trips to Leverkusen and Milan and us finishing 3rd and having a chance of the Premiership until mid April.  We played some memorable football in those days,  in another league to the dross we've seen this season.

I do know of some fan's that want us to lose this game to get rid of the fat bastard, if it was a league game then I would probably be infavour to this, but in the FA cup no chance, as you never know in the cup, but if we met any decent team then they would probably beat us.

i stumbled across this blog a few weeks ago .. and i just find it annoying that you speak as if ur the voice for a geordie nation!
why dont you just get behind the team and stop complaining ... lets get this straight ... big sam is not going to get the sack this season deal with it! ...

i wouldnt mind what ur saying but ur so biased that u wudnt b able to see a positive if we won the f.a cup .... i suggest that maybe you let the other lad craig do the wrtingin for ur site .. as firstly u talk utter shit and he speaks sense and knows how to use spelling and grammer check ...
