Mackems Preview

On Saturday 10/11/07 the world’s 4th biggest derby match will commence as the Stadium of Shiite. Defeat is not an option for Newcastle after their disgusting 4-1 defeat at home to Portsmouth while the Mackem’s unlucky not to get a point v Man City.

The form book goes out of the window here; this derby will be won by the team willing to win the most with their ability. This is what scare’s me as Roy Keane knows how to fire a team up and will use big Jones to try to create havoc in our defence. If Sam goes for 0-0 draw he will cause outrage to every Newcastle fan and we will surely be beaten. What he needs to do is to get onto the training ground and coach with his players (especially the defence), drop Michael Owen for Martins and get Mark Viduka not matter what state he is in. I don’t care how we win on Saturday just as long we WIN. If this means using the long ball fine but only in this game as we need a win at all costs.

The players after Saturday’s debacle need a long look at themselves, as the defending the first 15 minutes was some of the worst ever seen. If anyone needs motivating for this match, then they should be shown the door ASAP as no-one should need motivating for what is the biggest game of the season for both clubs and the pressure is on. I suspect we will see Cacapa dropped for Rozehnal to partner Faye in the middle of defence. Nicky Butt is suspended so Emre or Geremi will be support Joey Barton is the centre of midfield. Viduka is back, I would want him with Martins but Sam will probably play Michael Owen with this being a make or break game in my eyes.
